I guess the best way to really stick to a plan and meet goals is to know exactly what I am aiming for. I've been doing the weight loss goals in baby steps. It is easier for me to meet 5 lbs at a time instead of the full 40. In fact, I'd actually like to lose around 60 lbs but for now my goal is 40. When I was at my thinnest (in my adult life) I felt I was TOO skinny and I did not like how my eyes looked sunken in. So, I want to get to a good SIZE and then get FIT if that makes any sense. Of course I will be getting fit along the way...
Anyway, one of my goals is to try to eat Gluten Free for about two weeks. Why, you ask? Because I wonder if I will feel better and have more energy if I eat GF.
I also would love to eventually give up dairy. I know I feel better when I don't have any dairy so why eat it at all?
Then, down the road, if DH and I decide to have a baby, I would love to be in the best shape possible. There are so many things that need to go right in order to have a successful pregnancy, I'd like to have the best start possible. Being fit and having a good diet seems like a good start.
That being said, if we do have kids, we'd be raising them vegetarian or vegan. So I want to be sure that I have mastered the art of planning meals to have all the appropriate factors. I think the Eat Clean Diet plan does this.
I'm almost 30 but I feel so tired and sluggish every day. I need to get out of this slump and start feeling energized - every day.
I'm continuing to search for information about easy & healthy vegetarian/vegan meals, gluten free diets, and raising a vegetarian/vegan family.
On that note, I'm off to clean my house and do a Wii workout before I work tonight. :-D
