What I've been doing for exercise:
I started walking several months ago. My mom and I would go to a nearby park and walk 2-3 times around the lake. We'd walk for 30 to an hour, depending on how much time we had. Then our schedules got busy and it was hard to get back in the habit - especially with the increasingly hot summer days.
So we finally have gotten back into a routine this week. We met at the gym four times this week and did 30 minutes on the stationary bikes. There was a brief stint with the ellipticals...boy those hurt when you've been a couch potato. Five minutes felt like 30 minutes. :-(
Decided to switch it up and swam for almost an hour today.
We are determined to build up our stamina so we can keep increasing our workouts.
I've got a Wii fit and I want to start using it for about an hour at least 4 times a week. I've just got to watch my back while trying the yoga.
I'm also trying to be more vigorous while cleaning around the house. Can't hurt, right?
Working out is easier when you have a partner. I just need to get over my fear of working out in front of others so I can use more of the gym equipment.
That's been a problem for me, too-the working out in front of people. I blame the idiots I went to school with.
